Well, I buy CD’s once in a great while, but only if they’re in the bargain bin for a couple bucks, or at flea markets or garage sales for a buck or two. I’ve always thought albums were a ripoff, and I can probably count the number of times I’ve actually paid full price for a CD (or cassette tape, yep, I’m old!) on my fingers.
im not fucking 27 lol i just do that so i can view anything since somethings get labeled bad so i just threw it at a random date higher then the 18th and your buying the art off the cd without the art its just a product it the process your buying the art tahts all
The CD is the only product? Ok, so next time you want to buy a CD, buy a blank CD. You won’t, because the music is the only thing you want to buy, not the CD itself, so the MUSIC is the product you’re buying.
By the way dude, did you make it through grade school grammar? You’re 27 and you write like a fucking 5-year old. Get your act together.
omfg the album is what is the product the not music they buy the album so they can listen to the art. which means your buying art cause its artistic to put up the music the sound is artistic the only product is the cd that its put it, which id say thats more of art
If someone creates GOOD music, but doesn’t sell it, it’s art. If it’s packaged and sold, it becomes a product. If some no-talent jerk-off wannabe picks up a guitar and plays rock-star, it’s worthless noise. Now do you understand?

Music is a product if it’s packaged and sold in the marketplace, but it’s worthless noise when a jerk-off picks up a guitar and pretends he’s a rockstar.

paul, art is the product of someone’s work and imagination, plus art is sold all the time, so art is a product like anything else in the marketplace. Deal with it.
if anything kirk hammett is cosiderd a better guitarist that dave and adrian ,early metallica is good u cant deny they werent main stream they were realy thrash and cliff was an awesome bassit,iron maiden and metallica both play an important roll on metal there both god fathers of there generation
A kid who just picked up a guitar for the first time can’t sell 95 million albums. You think Iron Maiden are better musicians because you prefer their music. Either band’s songs would be extremely difficult for an amatuer to reproduce.
Even if Iron Maiden’s songs are more difficult to reproduce, who cares? Complexity doesn’t equate to superiority. Compare the DOS operating system to Windows and you’ll see my point. The purpose of music is to move you. The superior music does that best.
Musically speaking, I could argue that Iron Maiden is in fact better than Metallica’s simplistic mainstream rock crap. Maiden just are better musicians, that’s not an opinion. Just like that Joe Satriani is a better guitarist than a kid who just picked up guitar for the first time.
Metallica has indeed outsold Maiden, which does nothing to make their music better.
This debate is over, you already showed you have no grasp of music or art in general, so stop trying to redeem yourself.

The only undeniable fact in this debate is that Metallica has out-sold Iron Maiden. Everything else is merely opinion.
